On October 13th I’ll be presenting at WordCamp Denver 2012. I’ve spoke in public before, but this will be my first time speaking at a web design conference. I’ve attended a few WordCamps in the past, and have always thought it would be fun to speak at one.
After attending WordCamp Chicago 2012, I decided it was time to step up and submit my own presentation. I heard Denver was planning on hosting a WordCamp later in the year, so I sent in a couple topics on which to present. In a few days I heard back from the organizers that one of my talks had been approved.
I’ll be speaking at 9:30am about Developing with Custom Meta Boxes on the Developer Track.
What is WordCamp?
I can’t wait to get together again with other WordPress enthusiasts and share ideas. In case you were wondering what “WordCamp” is, here is the description from the WordCamp Central website:
“WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core deveopers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other.”
So yeah, WordCamp is a pretty cool place to be. I hope you can make to the Denver WordCamp this year. And it only costs $20 for an entire day of concentrated WordPress learning. Register today!
